Brothers Mark and Gary Kessler have been in the music business
for 28 years. Recycled Records is located in an 1880’s building
that has housed the family furniture store, Springfield Furniture
Co. since 1910. Recycled Records opened in 1980 on 100 square foot
balcony between the 1st and 2nd floors. By 1995 the store had taken
over the entire 2nd floor, and in 2001 both the 1st and 2nd floors
became filled with lp’s, cd’s, cassettes, 78’s, 8-tracks, VHS and
DVD’s, beer signs, stereo equipment, comics, video games and systems,
magazines, books, and memorabilia related to music. The entire basement
is still home to funky used furniture and assorted knickknacks.
Recycled Records carries not only used cd’s and lp’s, but also new
releases. Recycled Records also has antiques for sale in two antique
malls. Our specialties are American art pottery, jewelry—silver,
gold, and costume—glassware, advertising, and anything funky.
